Night stealing on World Animal Day at Hiyaa’s (clinic & surgical centre for pets)!

It’s sad that a burglary happened today morning  at Hiyaa’s Vet Clinic, Ghoramara Chariali.

A staff, on reaching the clinic this morning found out that some cash was missing and the ceiling was damaged. The stealing couldn’t be caught on the camera because the thief as soon as jumped from the ceiling cleverly switched off the CCTV. But the face could be seen only from a distant from the CCTV footage. They took some money and material things from the clinic. The thieves also broke some of the clinic’s property while stealing. They left the room by joining one table and one chair to climb the hole.

The 7 day program for World Rabies Day and World Animal Day, in collaboration with JBF for free health check-up and Anti-rabies vaccination ended yesterday at around 9.30pm and the stealing took place at around 1:03am (according to CCTV footage).

We are completely disheartened to see our clinic in this condition. A dog clinic has dog food and all the materials used for dog care.  Who would knew a dog clinic would be a target for stealing! If this kind of condition keeps prevailing in our society then we would like to question our society and the administration here that, ‘who is to ensure the safety of our working environment and hard-earned money?  What is the role of the administration if this is the condition and who is responsible for the security of our life?’
